Rotterdam Philharmonic Gergiev Festival

Brought to the surface as a precious treasure from the sea floor: Sadko is the great discovery of this festival. The old story about a sunken empire inspired Rimsky-Korsakov to compose a magical masterpiece. Valery Gergiev conducts this beautiful fairytale opera in a unique one-off performance with the choir and soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre.
