The Rotterdam Philharmonic Gergiev Festival presents more than 25 performances at various venues in the city. You can choose whether you would like to attend the entire festival, the evenings or individual concerts and performances. You can book a festival rover ticket, evening rover ticket or single tickets.


Festival rover ticket

The festival rover ticket provides access to all the festival performances. With a festival rover ticket you get:

  • 25% discount on normal ticket prices
  • the Festival Book with programme notes and background information (this book will be sent to you roughly three weeks before the start of the Festival);
  • an invitation to a closed reception with Valery Gergiev on 8 September.

Evening rover ticket

The evening rover ticket provides access to all the evening performances (including pre-performance talks) after 18.30. With an evening rover ticket you get:

  • 20% discount on normal ticket prices of evening performances;
  • the Festival Book with programme notes and background information (this book will be sent to you roughly three weeks before the start of the Festival);
  • an invitation to a closed reception with Valery Gergiev on 8 September.

Single tickets

Tickets for all the events go on sale on 2 May 2011 via the order form and via www.gergievfestival.nl. Single tickets will go on sale at De Doelen Box Office on 16 May.

Free performances

During the Festival, access to a number of concerts and films is free of charge. We cannot guarantee you a seat at these events, however, even if you have a rover ticket. If you want to be sure of a seat, we advise you to get there in good time.

Make your concert visit complete.. with a festival dinner in De Doelen

The Rotterdam Philharmonic Gergiev Festival and De Doelen Concert Hall and Congress Centre have joined forces to make your concert visit even better. Before the concert you can enjoy a full dinner in De Doelen. A great way of making your visit to the Festival even more festive!

Before the start of some of the concerts a team of chefs will prepare a surprising and creative dinner. The price is €35 p.p. for a three-course menu including a welcome drink. For orders call +31 (0)10 217 17 17.

Festival Book

The Festival Book features programme notes, biographies, interviews and festival information. The festival book is posted to you roughly three weeks before the festival starts.The Festival Book will go on sale on 20 August at the following locations:

  • Selexyz Donner bookstore
  • De Doelen box office
  • Via www.gergievfestival.nl
  • At the concert venues during the Festival

Price €7; the Festival Book will be sent free of charge to rover ticket holders.


Important dates

  • Tickets will go on sale at the box office of De Doelen on 16 May, tel. +31 (0)10 217 17 17.
  • The box office of De Doelen is closed from 23 July to 7 August.
  • During the festival, from 8 to 18 September, tickets can be obtained not only from the regular sales points but also, one hour before the performance, at the venue itself (while stocks last).
  • N.B. You can also pay by debit card, but only at De Doelen.

Additional information

  • Coffee and tea is included in the ticket price only for performances in De Doelen.
  • If you lose any tickets, you can collect duplicates (at €4.50 each) from the box office of De Doelen.
  • Tickets cannot be exchanged. Once paid for, the price of tickets will not be refunded.
  • It is possible that programmes may be changed, partially or wholly. In such cases, the Festival does its utmost to offer an equivalent alternative. A change does not give an automatic right to a refund.
  • If you have made use of the 65+ discount scheme, Rdampas, CJP or 26-and-under discount scheme, you must ensure that during your visit you have with you the card in question or an identity document showing your age.
  • The performances begin on time. Take possible traffic congestion and delays into account. Latecomers will be admitted to the hall only during a suitable break in the performance. That is generally the first break for applause, but could also be the official interval. Any patron arriving late will not be entitled to claim a refund. The Festival cannot be held liable for patrons missing some or all of a concert, for whatsoever reason.
